Hi, Iโm Jen.
Iโm a coach, facilitator, and entrepreneur.
I help curious, driven people become more regulated, resourceful, and creative. So they can better navigate what they canโt control and create a dope life with what they can.
I work best with people who believe they have some agency over their lives. Theyโre open-minded, willing to look honestly at themselves, and interested in growing, not because they think theyโre broken, but because they give a damn about how they show up in the world.
Getting strong. Staying soft.
Iโm not particularly interested in insight for insightโs sake. I want our work to change something.
That usually starts with regulation. When your nervous system is overwhelmed, your options get smaller. So we build the skills to get steadier, understand whatโs actually going on, see more possibilities, and choose what to do next.
My coaching is practical, reflective, and human. We work with your nervous system, patterns, relationships, values, work, body, and actual life.
The goal isnโt to become perfectly calm or endlessly optimized. Itโs to become more resourced. To have more range. To get stronger without getting harder.
Sometimes that means taking action. Sometimes it means loosening your grip. Sometimes it means having the hard conversation, changing course, asking for help, taking a risk, or accepting something you wish were different.
Getting strong. Staying soft. Thatโs the practice.
How I Got Here
Before becoming a coach, I spent a decade leading marketing teams at high-growth tech companies. In 2018, I founded Zest, where I still design and facilitate leadership and professional development programs for organizations across the country.
My private coaching practice was shaped through two accredited coach-training programs and years of study in mindfulness, relationships, communication, behavior change, and the nervous system.
But this work also comes from how Iโve lived.
Dance and movement have taught me to trust the body. Meditation has taught me to stay with whatโs here. Entrepreneurship has taught me to make things happen. Parenting and partnership continually teach me that control is mostly an illusion.
Again and again, I seem to be learning the same lesson: knowing when to act and when to let go. When to push and when to listen. How to weather the hard stuff without becoming hardened by it, while staying brave and creative enough to make more of the good stuff.
Thatโs what I bring to coaching, too.
Training + Influences
Iโm an ICF-trained coach and have studied across a range of coaching, mindfulness, communication, relationship, and therapeutic frameworks.
My education and influences include Georgetown University, Mindfulness Coaching School, Braver Coach, mentor coaching with Lyssa deHart, Relational Life Therapy, Nonviolent Communication, The Gottman Institute, Safe Conversations, Betty Martinโs School of Consent, Internal Family Systems, and more than 20 years of meditation practice.
Iโm also deeply influenced by dance floors, Burning Man, entrepreneurship, motherhood, relationships, and a long list of teachers, mentors, clients, and humans who have helped me see things differently.
My wish is for all people to have the skills & support they need to build lives theyโre damn proud of โand leave the world a better place.
Weโll probably work well together ifโฆ
Youโre curious. Youโre driven. Youโre willing to own your stuff.
Maybe youโre navigating a transition. Maybe youโre successful but restless. Maybe youโre overthinking the hell out of something. Or maybe nothing is particularly wrong and you simply know thereโs more available to you.
You donโt need to arrive knowing exactly what you want. You do need to believe you can learn, experiment, change, and participate in creating what comes next.
Sound like you? Letโs talk.
